    What is the Southern Tier Empire Brewfest?
    The Southern Tier Empire Brewfest will showcase craft beers from around the world with a heavy emphasis on New York State, in a relaxed and friendly outdoor environment. Patrons will receive a commemorative sampling glass and have access to unlimited, 2 oz. sampling of over 50 Craft Beers, Ciders and Distilleries. All of this will be set in a ralaxing outdoor atmosphere with music, as well as fun games like corn hole, Beer Pong, Giant Jenga and Volleyball

    Where is the Southern Tier Empire Brewfest located? Indoors? Outdoors?
    The Festival will be held at the Broome County Fairgrounds in Whitney Point, NY (just off Route 11). The event will be outdoors but it is "rainproof" in the event of inclement weather.

    What's the parking situation?
    It's free, close and there are lots of spaces. Bring your RV's and campers if you wish.

    Will there be tickets for sale at the gate on the day of the festival?
    You bet. There should be tickets still available on the day of the event. You should follow our Facebook page however because in the event we do come close to selling out, we will notify all of our followers asap.

    Can I bring my own food and beverages to the Festival?
    Sorry, other than pretzel necklaces, no outside food or beverages will be allowed. We will a wide array of food as well as soft drinks and water inside the festival.

    Can we purchase additional beer at the festival?
    Yes. You can purchase a commemorative growler-to-go of your favorite beer for only $25 while growlers remain available.

    Who will be allowed to attend the festival?
    Any person, 21 years or older, with a valid, non-expired picture ID, may attend the event. Designated Drivers must be 21+ as well. No kids. No pets. All persons will have their ID checked. Any persons visibly intoxicated will be prohibited from entry.

    Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the Festival?
    It's a good idea, but if you have on your phone, we can scan it. We will need the paper version or the phone version.

    What items are prohibited?
    Outside alcohol, Bottles, Cans, Outside food/beverages, Metal water bottles (clear, plastic water bottles permitted), Weapons (i.e. knives, pepper spray, stun-guns, concealed weapons, firearms, etc.), Illegal drugs, Chemicals, Fireworks, smoke bombs, etc. Backpacks (multi compartment/multi strap bag) suitcases, large beach bags, etc. Skateboards, roller skates, ice skates, use of roller shoes, etc.Unapproved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc. (see “Marketing”). Event management reserves the right to handle each occurrence on a case by case basis. Depending on the item, the guest may either be asked to remove the item from the facility or dispose of the item, or may be ejected from the facility. All bags, jackets, and guests are subject to search upon entering the event. Items which have varying policies include: cameras, video/audio recording equipment, and signs/flags/banners/posters.

    Is it okay if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
    Totally okay. Please note that each ticket has it's own unique barcode however. So if the same exact ticket is duplicated or Xeroxed, the first person who uses that ticket will gain entry to the Festival.

    Will a beer run out?
    Possibly. Some of our beers are exclusives and only made in small batches. All beers are subject to availability and popularity, so we cannot guarantee that a beer will be available the entire session. We strongly encourage everyone who plans on attending to arrive early. Our beer quantities are based upon pre-Festival ticket sales numbers, with a slight adjustment for "walk-up" When a keg goes, we replace with another, however it might be a different brand or flavor.

    What forms of payment do you accept at the door on the day of the Festival?
    Credit Card or Cash only. No checks.
